Paralysed lamb Dottie 'thriving' with new wheelchair

A woman who rescued a "very cute" paralysed lamb said the animal was "thriving" with its new wheelchair.

Aimee Walker, 24, from Wrexham, has rescued animals for years and recently took in two orphan lambs, Dottie and Chip.

Dottie became paralysed, possibly due to a copper deficiency, and could not stand or walk on her own when she arrived into Aimee's care last month.

With help from her partner and a donated wheelchair from Winston's Wheels Charity, Dottie can now explore outdoors alongside best friend Chip, who rarely leaves her side.

Aimee said Dotty was improving slowly and showing signs of movement and strength, although she may never fully recover.

"I just didn't want to give up on her," Aimee said, despite the hard work involved.

"I believe she's got a good chance at life in the right environment, so she'll stay forever."
