'We're literally on top of it, it is frightening'

Natasha Granville and Scott Bowhay, who live on Clittaford Road, said they were "right on top" of where the device was found on the building site in Southway on Wednesday afternoon.

The couple said they managed to find somewhere for their children to go, but due to having a dog, were waiting for the local authority to find them accommodation.

Natasha said they did consider staying in their house, which she knows other have done, but for safety reasons they left.

"It's better to be safe than sorry," she added.
