A-maze-ing tribute to Sir David Attenborough
What is belived to be the UK's largest corn maze is celebrating Sir David Attenborough's 100th birthday in unusual style.
Covering an area the size of eight football pitches, York Maze, based near Elvington, has used more than a million maize plants to etch out a portrait of the legendary broadcaster surrounded by an elephant, tiger and gorilla.
Believed to be one of the largest puzzles in the world, farmer Tom Pearcy has cut more than 3.1 miles (5km) of pathways into the 15-acre field, which opens to the public on Saturday.
Sir David marked his 100th birthday on 8 May with a series of shows aired in a week-long celebration of his work and legacy.
