'Bingo! It's a match'- Franklin expedition sailor's DNA links to BBC reporter

In 1845, two ships set to cross the Canadian Arctic but got stuck in the ice. All 129 men aboard died in the frozen tundra. Those shipwrecks are off the coast of Canada’s King William Island.

Researchers recently found more remains in the wrecks and were able to track their identity through DNA testing. One of the sailors they identified, John Bridgens, turns out to be BBC journalist Rich Preston's great great great uncle.
