Moment man with knife threatened couple at their doorstep
A man who brandished a knife and threatened to kill an older woman has been jailed for three-and-a-half years.
Jamie Allen tried to damage the couple's doorbell camera when he took exception to being "filmed" as he walked past their home near Duston in Northamptonshire.
The 29-year-old, of Gifford Court, Duston, threatened to stab the woman and spat in her face.
Unbeknown to Allen, he was wanted by police for coercive and controlling behaviour towards his ex-partner.
At Northampton Crown Court on 4 September, he was also issued three restraining orders.
He had admitted one count of threats to kill, assault by beating, possession of a knife, criminal damage and engaging in controlling or coercive behaviour.
