Watch: Algerians look on as deadly wildfires rage through night
Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune has announced three days of mourning for victims of deadly fires raging across the country.
At least 12 people have died in wildfires burning through parts of northern Algeria, including in Jijel province, home to port cities dotted along the Mediterranean Sea coastline.
While Algeria experiences deadly fires almost every year, scientists have warned climate change is compounding their severity and intensity.
