Sun rises over UK's most easterly point on longest day

The longest day of the year is officially upon us.

About 100 people turned up to see the summer solstice at the UK's most easterly point - Ness Point, in Lowestoft, Suffolk - where the sun rose at about 04:30 BST.

Organisers of a free festival up the road on the town's South Beach estimated about 2,000 early risers watched the sun come up there.
