Watch: The dos and don'ts of a hosepipe ban

A hosepipe ban for about one million customers across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight has come into force.

It is the second year in a row that Southern Water has brought in restrictions and the company said it would likely run until the autumn, unless there was significant and sustained rainfall.

BBC South's environment correspondent Jon Cuthill has been looking at what people can and cannot do while the ban is place.

It comes after the warmest spring on record, June's record-breaking heatwave and more hot weather this week.
