Lloyds Bank: Around 1,600 staff at Belfast site to relocate
Google Maps Lloyds Banking Group is to leave its distinctive office building in Belfast's Gasworks and relocate to new premises in the city centre.
About 1,600 staff will be moving to the new Paper Exchange development next year.
Lloyds said the move "doesn't impact the number or type of roles" and that it has taken a 10-year lease at the Paper Exchange.
It has been at the Gasworks since 2001, initially as a Halifax call centre.
Sharon Doherty, chief people & places officer at Lloyds Banking Group, said the move was part of wider changes across the business.
"Belfast is the latest city, alongside Bristol, Birmingham, Leeds, London, Cardiff and Manchester, to benefit from the significant investment we're making to transform our workplaces for colleagues and to attract the talent of the future," she said.
"We're thrilled to announce our move to The Paper Exchange, which will offer the latest sustainable, modern and state-of-the-art facilities including wellness facilities and a modern café."
Google Maps The Paper Exchange is a recently completed 11 storey building on Chichester Street which was built by the local developers, Wirefox.
Lloyds will be occupying the seventh and eighth floors floors.
The Gasworks building is likely to be put up for sale.
