Man admits killing fellow resident at mental health facility
GoogleA 22-year-old man has admitted killing a fellow resident at a mental health care centre in east London.
Rolando Torres-Pena attacked 34-year-old Hugo Flint-Cahan at the Glen Road adult care facility in Newham.
Mr Flint-Cahan suffered head injuries in the 3 January attack.
Torres-Pena, previously of Carson Road, denied murder but pleaded guilty to manslaughter at a hearing at the Old Bailey. He is set to be sentenced on 16 November.
His plea, given through an interpreter, said: "Not guilty to murder, guilty of manslaughter.
"I understand it's on the basis of diminished responsibility."
