Child sex offender jailed over string of offences

A man has been jailed for 14 years after committing more than a dozen child sex offences.

Rhys Lynn, 32, had pleaded guilty to 13 offences, including causing or inciting a girl under 13 to engage in sexual activity and making indecent photographs or pseudo-photographs of a child.

During sentencing at Lincoln Crown Court on Friday, Lynn was told he would be on the sex offenders register for life.

Det Con Portia Hakes, of Lincolnshire Police, said: "I hope this outcome gives victims some reassurance that their voices will be heard and their experiences taken seriously."

Lynn pleaded guilty to:

• Making indecent photographs or pseudo-photographs of a child (Class A images).

• Making indecent photographs or pseudo-photographs of a child (Class B images).

• Making indecent photographs or pseudo-photographs of a child (Class C images).

• Possessing an extreme pornographic image.

• Two counts of causing or inciting a girl under 13 to engage in sexual activity.

• Two counts of causing a child under 13 to watch or look at an image of sexual activity.

• Two counts of breaching a sexual harm protection order.

• Causing or inciting the sexual exploitation of a child aged between 13 and 17.

• Threatening to share a photograph or film of a person in an intimate state.

• Sending a photograph or film to cause alarm, distress or humiliation.

Police said the offences took place over a nine-year period.
