Driver charged over crash that killed teenager
Family handoutA man has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving following a crash that killed an 18-year-old woman more than two years ago.
Chloe Pearson, from West Yorkshire, was a passenger in a white Citreon C3 that collided with a black Mercedes CLK on the A426 Rugby Road in Cotesbach, near Lutterworth in Leicestershire on 15 December 2023. She died in hospital two days later.
Her twin sister Abigale who was also travelling in the C3 was seriously injured along with the driver and passenger from the CLK.
Jack Reape, 31, is additionally charged with causing death by driving while disqualified and three counts of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
Leicestershire Police said Reape, of Townley Road, Wakefield, is due to appear at Leicester Crown Court on Tuesday.
Her twin sister previously told the BBC her family was "heartbroken" at Chloe's death, with her grandmother Elizabeth Pearson adding: "Chloe was caring, beautiful and so full of life."
