Multi-storey car park to be shut for resurfacing

A multi-storey car park in Grantham, Lincolnshire, is to close for more than a month for resurfacing work.

Wharf Road car park will be shut from Monday until 7 July.

The closure will affect all levels of the multi-storey car park, but the Morrisons ground-level car park will remain open.

South Kesteven District Council said alternative parking was available at sites in Welham Street, Conduit Lane, Watergate and Guildhall Street.

Richard Cleaver, the council's cabinet member for property, said the closure "may cause some inconvenience" but the revamped car park would be "much improved".
