Man on bail following rape arrest

A man has been released on bail while an investigation continues into the rape of a woman in Worcester.

West Mercia Police said its inquiry focused on an alleyway on The Tything during a period between 06:00 and 08:30 BST on Saturday.

The force said a 23-year-old man was held on suspicion of rape in relation.

It added there would be an increased police presence in the area.
