Biker dies in Manchester Airport bypass crash

A motorcyclist has died in a crash on the Manchester Airport relief road, police have said.

Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said the man, in his 30s, died just after 12:30 BST on Sunday on the A555 by-pass between Cheadle and Poynton, Cheshire.

Police said no other vehicles were involved and have appealed for any witnesses or dashcam footage.

A force spokesperson said: "Our thoughts are with the man's family and friends."
