Leisure centre open again after 'drainage issue'
GoogleA leisure centre has reopened after being closed for several hours "due to an issue with the drainage".
Pingles Leisure Centre in Nuneaton said at about 18:05 BST on Monday it was closed for the rest of that evening and early Tuesday morning due to "unforeseen circumstances".
The gym reopened at 10:30 on Tuesday and the pools at 12:00, according to Everyone Active, which said it managed the centre in partnership with Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council.
Everyone Active area contract manager Lloyd Barraclough stated the centre was fully open again and "we would like to thank our customers for their understanding".
He said the venue was "temporarily closed due to an issue with the drainage, which has been resolved".
On Tuesday morning, the centre apologised for any inconvenience caused and thanked people for their patience.
