Fire crews tackle blaze at commercial building

Fire crews are tackling a blaze at an industrial building in a town in Nottinghamshire.

Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service said it had received a "high volume" of calls about the blaze, in Hospital Road, Retford, shortly before 21:00 BST on Monday.

It said crews from eight different stations, an aerial ladder platform, water carrier, and command support vehicle were at the scene of a fire at a "commercial property".

Residents have been asked to keep their windows and doors shut and people have been told to avoid the area while the fire is dealt with.
