Cyclist dies following collision with van
GoogleA man has died after the bicycle he was riding was involved in a collision with a van in North Yorkshire.
It happened on the A59 near the Gargrave Road roundabout, on the outskirts of Skipton, at about 17:30 BST on Sunday, according to North Yorkshire Police.
The bicycle and blue VW Caddy were both travelling in the same direction, from Broughton towards Skipton, a force spokesperson said.
The cyclist, in his 60s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers appealed for anyone who saw the van or cyclist in the moments before the crash, or anyone who saw what happened, to contact them.
They also appealed for anyone with dashcam footage from the scene to get in touch.
