Trains stopped after fire near railway tracks
BBCTrains through the Peak District were halted by a fire close to the tracks.
A fire in Totley Rail Tunnel between Totley, Sheffield, and Grindleford, in Derbyshire's Hope Valley, led to all lines being closed, said National Rail at about 15:00 BST on Saturday.
Lines repoened after 19:00 following a safety inspection with disruption expected to continue for the rest of the day.
East Midlands Railway (EMR) trains between Liverpool Lime Street and Nottingham/Norwich, Northern services between Manchester Piccadilly and Sheffield, and TransPennine Express between Liverpool Lime Street and Cleethorpes are affected.
South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said it had four fire crews in attendance at the fire in the tunnel.
People nearby were asked to keep windows and door closed due to the smoke and avoid the area.
