Police were called to a business in Harvest Crescent in Fleet early on Sunday morning

Three people have been charged as part of a counter-terrorism investigation, following a break-in at a business premises in Hampshire.

Police were sent to the building in Harvest Crescent, Fleet in the early hours of Sunday after security staff reported that people had forced entry, and caused extensive damage.

A police officer from Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary was assaulted, but was uninjured, and three people were arrested, Counter Terrorism Policing South East (CTPSE) said.

CTPSE said they had since been charged with aggravated burglary and criminal damage and remanded in custody to appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court on Tuesday.

Steven Davies, 57, of Slade Road in Birmingham, and Dolores Gnapi, 34, of Tariff Crescent in Lewisham, London, were charged with aggravated burglary and criminal damage.

Ian Roberts, 51, of McDougall Road in Wednesbury, West Midlands, was also charged with assault of an emergency worker.

Police said no staff at the premises had been injured during the incident.

CTPSE said on Monday it had taken the lead for the investigation and was working closely with the Hampshire force as inquiries continue.
