Man taken to hospital with serious stab wounds

A man is being treated in hospital following a stabbing in Peterborough.

Cambridgeshire Police officers were called to reports of violence on Windmill Street in Millfield, just before 11:00 BST.

At the scene they found a man with stab wounds and he was taken to hospital. Police said they believed his injuries were serious but not life-threatening.

The force said it believed the attack was an isolated incident and investigations into what happened have been ongoing. It has asked for anyone with information to get in touch.
