Arrest over fire that disrupted Heathrow rail service

A man has been arrested on suspicion of arson following a grass fire near London Paddington station that caused major disruption to rail services.

Services affected from Saturday afternoon into Sunday morning included the Heathrow Express, the Elizabeth line and Great Western Railway trains out of Paddington towards Reading.

Almost 400 passengers had to be escorted from a train that lost power after overhead cables caught fire.

British Transport Police said the man has since been bailed.
