US man's Tramlines tattoo for 'special time'
BBCAn American who has the logo of Sheffield's Tramlines music festival tattooed on his wrist says the event is "just a really special time".
Chad Hefty has come over for the festival several times since befriending a man from the city in New York about a decade ago.
The 46-year-old, from Charlotte, North Carolina, says the tattoo is "something little, but it's significant to me", adding: "It may be a little bit drastic or crazy in a way, but it's special."
He and Mark Morgan, 40, from the Crosspool area of Sheffield, got talking in Times Square and became firm friends.
"We've had different milestones over the years, I've come over for his wedding and Tramlines the last few years, it's pretty cool," Chad says.
He explained that he also had a crest of Sheffield designed and tattooed on his leg.
"There's a sense of community with a friend group I've been welcomed into."
Chad says he is looking forward to being able to "let your hair down" at the three-day festival this weekend, which features Fatboy Slim, Blossoms and Wolf Alice on its bill.
Mark says it has been a good experience to share "what Sheffield is, and Tramlines is a big part of that".
"It's really cool being able to show off my city because Sheffield doesn't shout about itself as much as what it should," he says.
The duo say they are looking forward to The Courteeners and Wet Leg performing at Hillsborough Park.
