Two men arrested in class A drugs investigation

Two men have been arrested following a drug-related police raid in Brighton on Thursday.

The suspects, in their 30s and 60s, are in custody on suspicion of being related to the supply of class A drugs, the Metropolitan Police said.

A Met Police spokesperson said the searches were in connection with an ongoing investigation into drug supply in London and East Sussex.

Sussex Police said it was supporting officers from the Met Police in the searches at an address in Lewes Road.

A Sussex Police spokesperson said officers entering the address were wearing "appropriate protective clothing as a precaution".

"There is not believed to be a risk to the wider public," they added.
