Man, 18, arrested after two stabbed in city centre
BBCA man has been arrested after two people were stabbed in Nottingham city centre.
Nottinghamshire Police was called to reports of an altercation in Huntingdon Street shortly before 05:00 BST on Thursday.
The force said two men, both 19, were found in nearby Nile Street. Both were taken to hospital with injuries that are not life-threatening or life-altering.
An 18-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent. He remains in custody for questioning.
Det Insp Emma Pollard said: "Our investigation is at an early stage and I would urge anyone with information to come forward and speak to us.
"We understand the concern incidents of this nature can cause. I would like to reassure the public that we are working every day to target people who carry weapons and to work proactively with groups to prevent offences from happening."
