An investigation is under way after a man was injured in a stabbing at a Worcestershire pub.

West Mercia Police said it had now identified three men it had been looking to identify following the incident at The Bridge Inn on Bridge Street, Stourport, at about 14:30 BST on Saturday.

The 34-year-old man "suffered stab wounds", the force said. It said later he sustained a minor injury and was taken to hospital and later discharged.

Det Sgt Craig Tennant said its inquiries "are continuing to progress after identifying three men who were believed to be in the area at the time of the incident, and we are looking to make an arrest in the coming days".

Tennant added: "Thankfully, the victim did not suffer serious injuries as a result of the stabbing and was quickly discharged from hospital.

"We believe those involved are known to each other and are content there is no wider risk to the community."
