£1.50 tickets for Saturday morning cinema club
Telford and Wrekin CouncilFamily friendly films will be screened for £1.50 per ticket as part of a Saturday morning cinema club.
Wellington Orbit will be showing different films every Saturday morning, starting with The Magic Faraway Tree on 4 July.
The initiative, funded by Telford & Wrekin Council's Councillors' Pride Fund, aims to make cinema more affordable for families, giving them the opportunity to enjoy the big screen together at a lower price.
It follows the completion of a new multi-use cultural hub at Wellington Orbit in early June.
Damian Breeze, manager at the Wellington Orbit, said: "We're also really excited to bring back the tradition of Saturday morning cinema, creating the same kind of special experiences that many people remember from their own childhoods."
Councillor Angela McClements, Telford & Wrekin Council's cabinet member for culture and tourism, added: "Wellington Orbit is now a vibrant, cultural hub in the heart of Wellington with fantastic facilities which will drive more footfall to Wellington and the high street."
Details of upcoming screenings and booking information will be available via Wellington Orbit's website and social media channels.
