'I am the only chef in the North working at Gordon Ramsey restaurant'

Holly, from New Moston is 'the only chef from the North of England'

A woman has become one of the only chef's in the North of England to work at Gordon Ramsey's latest restaurant.

Holly Jackson, 25, from New Moston has quickly risen through the ranks of the industry, now landing the role of Senior Pastry Chef de Partie at Ramsay's Lucky Cat restaurant.

The chef, who studied Hospitality and Catering at Hopwood Hall college in Rochdale, said: ''I never doubted that I could do it.''

The London restaurant has been the subject of a Netflix documentary, showing Ramsey going through the trials and tribulations of opening a high end eatery in the skyscraper 22 Bishopsgate – with Holly featuring in many episodes.

Holly said: "Working for Gordon Ramsey is absolutely insane, I still get goosebumps."

''I'm the second youngest chef and the only one from the North of England," she added.

Even with such a busy schedule, Holly still finds time to make frequent visits to her old school to hold cooking workshops.

Holly Jackson says she still returns to her old school to teach them how to cook

During her training Holly came third in the Young Pastry Chef of the Year 2021, has worked at Michelin Star restaurants, Fortnum and Mason and hotel giants, like The Corinthia – all before turning 25.

But it was whilst working at Fortnum and Mason that Holly recieved a message from an agency, scouting her for a job at Gordon Ramsey's newest restaurant.

"I remember thinking... could I?" But Holly has found her home at Lucky Cat, where she prepares high end pastries and desserts alongside one of the worlds most famous chefs.
