Man charged with murder after woman stabbed

A man has been charged with murder after a woman was stabbed in west London.

Samantha Turner, 52, was pronounced dead at the scene on Askew Road, Shepherd's Bush, after officers were called at about 08:20 BST on Tuesday.

A 32-year-old woman remains in hospital with stab injuries which the Metropolitan Police said were not life-threatening.

Alan Dore, 48, of Askew Road, has been charged with murder and attempted murder.

He was arrested at the scene and charged on Wednesday.

Dore is due to appear at Hendon Magistrates' Court on Thursday.
