A chilly start to the morning caused by clear skies overnight led to the BBC Weather Watchers sending in photos of gleaming sunrises across Scotland.

Speaking on BBC Radio Scotland Breakfast, weather presenter Joy Dunlop said the clear skies had led to some "beautiful pictures coming in from our Weather Watchers".

She went on to say that sunny and dry conditions may start worsen as wind and rain move in. So, here is a selection of today's sunrise pictures to enjoy in the meantime.
