Crews still at scene of large industrial estate fire
Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue ServiceFirefighters are still at the scene of a large fire at an industrial estate in Nottinghamshire, six days after the blaze first broke out.
At its height, 13 fire engines were sent to Hathernware industrial estate, off Rempstone Road in Sutton Bonington, near the Leicestershire border, after reports were received at 10:48 BST on Wednesday.
Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service said it was still "working hard" to extinguish the fire and crews were expected to remain on site for the rest of the day.
Following reports that residents can still smell smoke as a result of the blaze, the fire service has urged people to keep doors and windows closed.
East Midlands Railway (EMR) said the fire next to the tracks at Sutton Bonington had disrupted services on Wednesday.
Firefighters confirmed the blaze involved buildings, timber and trailers.
Crews from Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire attended the fire.
