More than 40 firefighters were called to reports of fire at a bar in central Glasgow.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said it was alerted just after 14:40 and nine appliances were in attendance on Sunday evening.

Images from the scene showed parts of Renfield Street and West Regent Street were cordoned off, with a number of fire crews gathered outside both the Bistro and Maltman bars.

Crews have now left the scene. There were no reports of any casualties.

Police Scotland has been contacted for comment.
