Body found in search for missing teenager

Police searching for a man who went missing from Portishead say they have found a body.

Avon and Somerset Police said items of clothing on the body found in water near Newport, Wales, matched those of an 18 year-old named George who was last seen on Thursday 17 September.

Officers said George's family had been told, although formal identification was yet to take place.

The family was being supported by specially trained officers and the death was not being treated as suspicious, they added.
