Attempted murder inquiry as man found with burns

An attempted murder investigation has been launched in Doncaster after a man was found with life-threatening injuries described by police as burns.

South Yorkshire Police were called to reports of an injured man on Warmsworth Road at 23:35 BST on Tuesday.

He was taken to hospital by the ambulance service where he remains in a serious condition.

Police said inquiries were moving "at pace" and appealed for anyone with information to get in touch.
