Distorted rail causes train cancellations
Allen Cook/BBCTrain passengers are facing delays and cancellations to their services due to a section of distorted rail.
London Northwestern Railway (LNR) said track repairs were taking place between Long Buckby and Northampton.
National Rail said delays were expected between Rugby and Milton Keynes Central until 19:00, while LNR said services could be altered or cancelled between London Euston and Birmingham New Street.
An LNR spokesperson said: "We apologise to customers for the inconvenience caused. Any passengers delayed by 15 minutes or more as a result of the disruption are entitled to compensation against the cost of their ticket under the Delay Repay scheme."
They added: "Ticket acceptance is in place with Avanti West Coast for services between Milton Keynes Central and Rugby, and rail replacement will operate between Northampton and Coventry."
