Weetabix has submitted a planning application to North Northamptonshire Council

Breakfast cereal giant Weetabix has submitted a planning application to upgrade its headquarters, which date back to 1932.

The proposals include the redevelopment of its former Brooklands warehouse site and ancillary buildings in Burton Latimer, North Northamptonshire, to make way for a new office building.

North Northamptonshire Council received the application on 29 September. The proposals also include changes to car parking, servicing, landscaping and ancillary works.

Weetabix has also invited people to have their say on the plans.

The planning statement said the proposals, "will utilise previously developed land of the former 'Brooklands warehouse', its ancillary buildings and associated hardscape.

"The built structures will be demolished to allow for the development of the hub."

The offices in the current headquarters will no longer be used once the new hub is operational.
