The church service in St John will start at 10:15GMT on Remembrance Sunday and at 11:00GMT the names of the people on the Cenotaph will be read out.

Constable of St John, Andy Jehan said : "I think you can say the finished product is excellent. So we're really thrilled."

A gathering at the the parish hall will be held later.

Constable Jehan said that he plans to offer a poppy to each child in the parish after Rememberence Day because the creators of the display have bigger plans for next year.

He said: "We're going to talk to the local school or schools to see if young people would like one so that they actually get a connection with the initiative."
