A38 closed near Derby after serious crash

The A38 is closed in both directions near Derby following a serious crash.

National Highways said the road was shut between the A516 and the A50 shortly after 13:00 BST on Wednesday.

Derbyshire Police said the road would "remain closed for some time", and advised motorists to avoid the area.

Drivers are currently experiencing delays of about 20 minutes, National Highways said.
