Arrest after man dies when car overturns in crash

A man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving after another man died in a crash, said police.

Kent Police said officers were called to the A20 Ashford Road in Harrietsham, near the junction with Holm Mill Lane, at about 02:05 BST.

A man, aged in his 20s, died at the scene when a red Ford Focus he was travelling in overturned, said the force. His next of kin have been informed.

The arrested man, aged in his 20s, was also in the car and suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries, police said. He was taken to hospital for treatment.

Police urged witnesses and anyone with relevant footage to get in touch.
