Man sought after sexual assault of girl, 11
GooglePolice have shared details of a man they want to identify after an 11-year-old girl was sexually assaulted near a playground.
The attack happened in a wooded area near the Clarks Way playground in Odd Down in Bath, Somerset between 17:00 BST and 17:30 BST on 24 June.
Avon and Somerset Police said it was looking for a man officers described as white, aged in his early to mid 40s, with a short beard that was black, white, and grey in colour.
Det Insp Hannah Marsh said it was "an incredibly serious incident" and "significant resources are in place" to identify the man responsible. A man in his 40s was arrested last week and has since been released under investigation while inquiries continue.
Police said the man they wanted to identify had brown eyes, a piercing in one ear, and two words tattooed on his neck in black ink.
At the time of the attack, he was wearing a black cap with a black logo, as well as a watch, a blue t-shirt with a pocket on the left-hand side of the chest, white knee-length shorts, and black and orange hiking boots, the force added.
"More than 300 hours of CCTV footage have so far been recovered and this work is continuing," said Marsh, from Operation Bluestone, the force's serious sexual offences investigation team.
"We're also carrying out forensic inquiries and using the expertise of officers and staff across Avon and Somerset Police.
"We've now been able to build a more detailed picture of the offender and I would urge anyone who recognises anyone who matches this to contact us immediately."
