Comedian to take on tandem skydive for charity
Good ShepherdWolverhampton comedian Jack Kirwan is to take part in a tandem skydive to raise for money for a charity helping homeless and vulnerable people in the city.
Kirwan, known for his locally-based Gary Powndland character, will join TikTok chef Mitch Lane in the 13,000ft (3,962m) dive at Tilstock Airfield, on 11 July.
Both men, from Wolverhampton, are ambassadors for the Good Shepherd charity and are aiming to raise funds to support work it does in the local community.
Kirwan admitted he was afraid of heights, but was looking forward to it.
"As a proud ambassador for the Good Shepherd, I want to do what I can to raise money and awareness for the charity," he said.
"I'm looking forward to the challenge but absolutely terrified of heights."
Lucy Cox, fundraising, grants and development manager, said the team was very grateful to him for taking on the challenge.
"Fundraising is vital for us to be able continue our work in the community, so if you would like to join Jack and Mitch on the Good Shepherd Skydive please sign up.
"It really will make such a difference to the lives of the people we support."
