A subterranean cannabis farm with an estimated £500,000 crop was discovered by police near a Warwickshire village on Thursday.

Warwickshire Police said it found an "inconspicuous" shipping container near Wolston with an entry hatch inside which led officers down into a large underground farm.

Five people who were on site were arrested on suspicion of producing cannabis.

Two men have been charged and three more bailed until November pending further inquiries.
