Ports of Jersey has released its annual report

The number of people travelling in and out of Jersey by ferry in 2025 fell by more than a quarter compared to the year before, according to a new report.

Ports of Jersey has released its annual report, which looked at how many people used the harbour.

In 2024 there were about 530,000 passengers, while last year it was 384,000.

Ports said the decrease was partly due to the changeover to DFDS from Condor - which it said had limited demand.

The report also revealed that in 2024, 433,000 tons of freight went through the harbour, however, last year that went down to 383,000 - a drop of about 12%.

The report said more than £250,000 was collected through environmental charges on private aircraft last year after the Private Aviation Decarbonisation Charge was introduced in May 2025.
