Seven arrested following series of drug raids
Greater Manchester PoliceSeven people have been arrested after a series of raids across Greater Manchester.
Five men and two women were detained on suspicion of conspiracy to supply Class A drugs after police executed warrants across seven addresses in Bolton, Salford, Stockport and Wigan.
Evidence recovered during the searches will now be examined in detail as part of an ongoing investigation, said a Greater Manchester Police spokesperson.
They added that the seven suspects - whose ages range from 24 to 42 - remained in custody for questioning as detectives "continue to piece together the full scale of this criminal operation".
Greater Manchester PoliceDet Insp Alex Brown said officers carried out a series of "coordinated strikes", targeting individuals and locations suspected to be "central to the supply of Class A drugs".
He added: "We will not allow organised criminals to profit from exploiting vulnerable people, and we will keep taking action to protect our communities."
