Police appeal after two fatal motorcycle incidents
BBCPolice are appealing for witnesses following two fatal road traffic collisions involving motorcycles in Devon.
Devon and Cornwall Police said officers received a call at about 13:30 BST on Friday after an incident on the A379 Torquay Road at Shaldon, which involved a motorcycle and a pedestrian. The pedestrian, a woman in her 60s from Taunton, Somerset, died at the scene.
Police was also called at about 17:10 on Sunday to a collision between a van and a motorcycle on Pennsylvania Road at the junction with Stoke Valley Road in Exeter.
It said the motorcycle rider, a man in his 30s from Devon, sustained fatal injuries.
The force thanked the public for their patience during both incidents while the roads were closed.
It said anyone with information on either incident are urged to contact police.
