Teenager who died after suspected stabbing named

Fariss Kapaga-Fakeer, 18, was found with injuries believed to be stab wounds and died later in hospital

Police have named a teenager who died after being found with injuries believed to be stab wounds.

Fariss Kapaga-Fakeer, 18, was found injured at Bradwell Common in Milton Keynes at about 16:20 BST on Sunday and died shortly afterwards in hospital.

Thames Valley Police, who has launched a murder investigation, described him as "a precious son, beloved brother to his two sisters and a friend who is loved by many".

The force added a person arrested on Sunday in connection with the incident remained in custody.

Detectives are appealing for anyone who was in the Eelbrook Avenue area of Bradwell Common at the time to get in touch

A post-mortem examination is expected to take place later.

Senior investigating officer, Det Insp Amy Fox, said: "Our condolences, thoughts and support is with the family of Fariss Kapaga-Fakeer at this unimaginably traumatic time.

"The force's thorough investigation continues and searches in the Eelbrook Avenue area of Bradwell Common are coming to a close and although officers will leave the scene, our presence within the area will continue."
