Boy, 16, seriously hurt in police pursuit crash
BBCA 16-year-old boy has been seriously injured in a crash involving a motorbike being pursued by police.
Officers had tried to stop the vehicle they believed was stolen at about 12:30 BST on Gregson Lane, in Hoghton, Preston, Lancashire Police said.
The force said the motorbike did not stop and collided with a brick wall shortly afterwards.
The rider suffered serious injuries and has been taken to hospital while a passenger, a 17-year-old girl, suffered minor injuries. The force said in line with procedures, its professional standards department would refer the matter to the Independent Office for Police Conduct.
