Man arrested over alleged rape at Fife park

A man has been arrested after a woman reported being raped in a daylight sex attack at a Fife park.

Police were called to Pittencrieff Park in Dunfermline at about 18:15 on Tuesday.

A section of the park was cordoned off after the incident and uniformed officers were at the scene.

Police Scotland said a 29-year-old man had been arrested in connection with an alleged serious sexual assault and that inquiries were continuing.
