Police are appealing for information after a motorcyclist died in a crash on the A6 in Taddington.

Derbyshire Police said the crash, involving a BMW 1250R motorbike and a Toyota Hilux towing a trailer, happened at the junction with Hollow O'The Moor at 13:40 BST on Sunday.

The motorcyclist, a man in his 60s from Halifax, West Yorkshire, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Hilux stopped at the scene and is assisting officers with their inquiries, the force said. No arrests have been made.

Any witnesses, or anyone with any information about the crash, have been urged to contact officers.

In particular, police would like to hear from the driver of a champagne coloured Volvo XC 4x4, who is believed to have stopped at the scene but left before officers arrived.
