Biker killed in crash was 'caring and loving'
Avon and Somerset PoliceThe family of a man who died in a motorbike crash have paid tribute to him, describing him as a "caring and loving" father and grandfather.
David Doyle, 53, from Weston-super-Mare, died after the single-vehicle collision as he rode his motorcycle on the A370 near Bleadon on 4 October.
His fianceé Danielle, his son Jordan, daughter Paige and his nephew Leon said in a tribute that he was one of the "most selfless, caring and loving people you could ever meet".
The tribute said: "Our lives have been turned upside down. Just as life started to look up for him and all his dreams were coming to fruition, his life has been cut far too short."
Avon and Somerset PoliceThe family described him as the "most loving and devoted granddad" who has been "adored beyond words" by his grandchildren, just as he was "loved so deeply by his children".
The family said he always made them feel like they could "achieve anything we set our minds to".
The tribute said: "He was always there to help others, never hesitating to put everyone else before himself.
"His kindness, love, and the memories we shared will stay with us forever. He may no longer be by our side, but he will live on in our hearts, always."
Doyle's family said that he had a passion for cars and motorbikes and owned classic cars such as a Lotus Esprit and the 1957 Royal Ensfield motorbike.
"David's interest in cars and motorbikes was about much more than the machines themselves, it was a reflection of his character, his enthusiasm for life and his appreciation for things with history and a story to tell," the family said.
"His passion gave him so much enjoyment and created many lasting memories.
"It was a true part of who David was, and one that will forever be remembered by those who knew and loved him."
